Fannie Lou Hamer

A quote that i really liked was "If the white man gives you anything-just remember when he gets ready he will take it right back. We have to take for ourselves." I really like this quote because Fannie makes a really good point and i am pretty sure she is talking about freedom. All that she struggled to get her freedom to vote and be conciderd a free woman has finally payed of in the long term. I like this quote because my grandmother always tells me to make something out of my self and be successful, to not get stuck up with a man and not do anything out because when that guy decides to leave me one day, I'm not going to have anything to start my life all over. That's why education is the most important thing in my life and that's something no one can take away from me.
